Burnt Ends.

Burnt EndsMy first round of burnt ends that I made recently were absolutely perfect! Usually the first time I make something I'll critique one part of it one way or another. On these, that is not needed. If you follow this step by step you will have the perfect burnt ends as well. Enjoy!

 

1 lb of pork belly 

1/2 stick of butter

1/4 cup of brown sugar

Honey

Young Bucks Spicy Rib Rub

Rustic Rub Co All Purpose Rub

 

First, start out by cutting your pork belly into 1-1 1/2" chunks. Then put them in a bowl for adding seasonings. 

In a separate bowl mix together Young Bucks Spicy Rib Rub, Rustic Rub Co All Purpose Rub, 1/8 cup of brown sugar and any additional you please. 

Mix seasonings mixture in with the pork belly chunks. Mix until chunks are evenly coated. Put in refrigerator overnight. 

Next morning take bowl out and mix around again. Leave bowl out for meat to hit room temperature . Once room temp has hit put in smoker at 200° directly on grill grates . Smoke for 3 hours. After the three hours have past put the meat into a metal pan. Then mix in butter, honey and more brown sugar until evenly coated. 

Place back on the smoker for another 3 hours at 200° and stir occasionally. After 3 hours take off and enjoy!
